The UDF conducted a survey on the use of glucagon among people with diabetes.

More than 200 people took part, for which we are extremely grateful.

The results show the following:

- 87% of respondents (192 people) know about Glucagon and its effect

- Glucagon is a mandatory part of a diabetic's "diabetes kit" for many of our respondents;

- Only one in ten respondents received glucagon from a doctor;

- A quarter of the respondents bought glucagon on their own;

- more than half of the respondents do not have glucagon at home;

- respondents were extremely positive about their experience of using glucagon and recommended it as an indispensable tool in case of severe hypoglycemia;

- the respondents expressed a desire to receive glucagon free of charge as a life-saving drug.
